History

Formed in 1919,

The Red Cliffs Tigers compete in the Sunraysia Football Netball League.

After several near misses in the 1920s, Red Cliffs finally broke through for a Mildura and District Football League premiership in 1934, downing reigning premiers South Merbein in the grand final.

After WW II the MDFL was renamed the Sunraysia Football League. The Tigers reached their first senior grade grand final in the SFL in 1949, only to lose to Imperials. Further grand final defeats followed at the hands of Imperials in 1950 and Mildura in 1951. However, in 1953 Red Cliffs broke through to win their first post-war premiership by defeating Mildura in the grand final.

The 1953 flag was the first of many claimed by the Tigers in the SFL. The club’s most recent grand final victory came in 2015 at the expense of Imperials, the Tigers prevailing by 8 points, 15.9 (99) to 14.7 (91).

Club culture is always boasted by others.

However, at Red Cliffs Football Netball Club, it holds a true meaning to its members through times of adversity as Individuals or as a club. We come together to support each other through thick and thin no matter what.
The club rooms allow for members and locals a place to come together and share a belonging to a passion that they have for footy and netball. To discuss tactics and improvements the teams could make next time they run out.
It is Red Cliffs Football Netball Clubs future that we are invested in to keep growing while preserving our history.
